I am a PhD student in Mathematics at Imperial College London, working under the supervision of Professor Paul C Bressloff. I started the PhD in 2024, having previously completed an MSc in Mathematics and a BSc in Applied Mathematics at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). My research focuses in stochastic models of cellular transport. I am currently researching resource accumulation in a target cell using search-and-capture processes with stochastic resetting and queuing theory.

I will be at the Workshop on Advances in Asymptotic Analysis and Numerical Methods for First Passage Time Problems in Biology. You can always find me in my office at Imperial’s South Kensington campus, or send me an email to j[dot]giral-barajas24[at]imperial[dot]ac[dot]uk!
